Mouse on the wall and CD's Decoration

Before the Computer, CD refers to a Certificate of Deposit. It was a certificate given to you by a bank for depositing cash with them. They would pay you an interest for having the deposit with them.

Today, CD refers to a Compact Disc. It is a digital optical disc data storage format. It is where you can deposit your data, files, audio and video format.

I have a numbers of defective CD/DVDs...
I've got an idea to recycled them and make used of it..

Here are the pictures:

There are many ways to recycled the CD's and DVDs and I know you can make you own.

Before the Computer, Mouse was a small mammal belonging to the order of rodents, characteristically having a pointed snout, small rounded ears, and a long naked or almost hairless tail. The best known mouse species was the common house mouse that is spread widely throughout nearly every country.

Nowadays, Mouse is a small device having two buttons and a scroll wheel act as a third button. The best known house mouse today is now part of computer technology as input device and it is found all corners of the globe.

I have a numbers of defective mouse.

I've had an idea also to recycled them and make used of it..

Here are the pictures:

Recycle Bracelet made from SATA cable

Definition: Serial ATA (Advanced Technology Attachment) (SATA) is a computer bus interface that connects host bus adapters to mass storage devices such as hard disk drives and optical drives. Serial ATA replaces the older AT Attachment standard (ATA later referred to as Parallel ATA or PATA), offering several advantages over the older interface: reduced cable size and cost (seven conductors instead of 40), native hot swapping, faster data transfer through higher signalling rates, and more efficient transfer through an (optional) I/O queuing protocol.

I have some defective SATA cables instead of throwing them on a trash..
I got an idea to recycle them to become unique bracelet that you can never find in all stores. I can sell this or a gift items to all my friends..

Someday this item will become made to order print their own names or customize time watch and etc....

Homemade items made from recycled old computer parts

I do a lot of searching in the internet on those obsolete & defective computer parts and found out that there are major companies, who have created those computer parts, started to take ownership and developed programs that assist proper disposal of the outdated parts. Other companies are offering options such as trading in your old computers instead of purchasing a new one and offering home pickup. Other computer manufacturers are willing to refurbish those parts to become environmental friendly, where as others are buying and selling used computers. Moreover, there are some interesting and gifted people who are recycling those disposed computer parts and create amazing and artistic handcrafts, such as home decorations, out of those recycled computers.
Based on my experience as a computer technician, I have encountered several computer parts & accessories, which are disposable, has end-of-life, with dead-set and cannot anymore be repaired, and even collected few of those given by my clients during troubleshooting.
One problem I found is that most consumers have no idea on how to recycle those dead computer parts and find it easier to discard them in the trash bin instead of spending time to recycle. I was actually one of those people having hard time to decide what to do with the quantity of my obsolete computer parts I had in my garage few months ago. Until I come up with the idea of recycling those and turn some of those into fantastic home decorations.
For those consumers, I can suggest that if the computer is still in good condition why not just deal it to a cheapest price to a friend who doesn’t have computer, or rather offer to family members and relatives, or reward it to co-workers or a gift to close friends. Instead of disposing into landfills, why not just recycle and craft it into an art such as wall decorations, giveaways and gift items for special occasions.
Once the computer’s CPU has been disassembled, there are many components and peripherals inside it which include hard drives, optical drives, floppy drives, motherboards, video cards and many parts that can also be dismantled and those CPU peripherals has tiny parts which can still be recycled.
There are options on how to go green and recycle obsolete computer parts just like I did and will continue doing it.

This is an example of a Homemade items made from recycled computer parts & accessories which I created, a unique circuit board clock using recycled from obsolete computer parts. It’s cool!
